Table Indienne is a small family business based in Wittisheim, Alsace. Founded by Mihika, who is passionate about Indian cuisine and culture, we offer premium spices imported directly from India, ready-to-cook kits to discover Indian cooking, home cooking workshops, block printing workshops (traditional Indian textile printing), and bespoke trips to India. Learn more about our story.
Our shop offers: • Indian spices — a wide range of pure spices (turmeric, cumin, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, chilli, etc.) in discovery tubes or doypacks. • Ready-to-cook kits — everything to make authentic Indian dishes (curry, dal, biryani...). • Exotic ingredients — curry leaves, rose water, ghee and other hard-to-find products. • Indian kitchen accessories — masala dabba (spice box), tadka pan, mortar and pestle. • Artisanal tableware — Madhurkathi table runners, sabai grass placemats, woven baskets. • Wooden printing blocks — over 170 hand-carved designs for block printing. • Workshops — Indian cooking classes at your home and block printing workshops in Wittisheim.
Our spices are imported directly from India, mainly from Kerala, Rajasthan and Meghalaya. We work exclusively with suppliers certified organic by the European Union, guaranteeing spices grown without pesticides or synthetic chemicals, in harmony with the environment. If a specific product does not come from a certified organic supplier, we explicitly state it on its product page.
Our kits contain the essential dry ingredients: spices, lentils, rice and everything that does not fall into the fresh produce category. You will need to get a few additional ingredients such as onions, garlic or tomatoes depending on the recipes. All fresh ingredients needed are explicitly listed on each product page. Each kit includes a detailed step-by-step recipe to guide you through preparation.
We offer Indian cooking classes at your home, during which we bring everything needed for the meal preparation. The idea is to guide you: you and your guests actively participate in the entire preparation. We bring kansa dinnerware, a metal traditionally used in India for its Ayurvedic properties. It is also an opportunity to discuss Indian traditions and culture with Mihika. Discover our cooking class options.
Block printing is a traditional Indian art that involves printing patterns on fabric using hand-carved wooden blocks. We offer several options at our workshop in Wittisheim. We recommend starting with an introduction course of about 1.5 hours, during which you will learn the techniques and leave with your own creation. If you enjoy the experience, you can come back to practise independently or get blocks to print at home. Discover our block printing workshops.

To preserve the full flavour and aroma of your spices, store them in a dry place, away from direct light and heat. Our airtight packaging (tubes and doypacks) is designed for optimal storage. Avoid placing your spices above the cooker or near a steam source. Whole spices (peppercorns, sticks) keep longer than ground spices: up to 2-3 years compared to 6-12 months for powders.
Our pure spices are naturally gluten-free and do not contain major allergens. However, some of our ready-to-cook kits may contain lentils, rice or other ingredients that could cause reactions. The full ingredient list is always indicated on each product page. If in doubt or with a specific allergy, do not hesitate to contact us before your purchase.
